MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An exhibitionist ruined dinner for people at a popular Midtown restaurant Sunday night.
According to the police report, a customer at Railgarten on Central Avenue near Cooper reported a man was standing just north of the property “pleasuring himself in plain view of Railgarten patrons” in the outdoor recreation area behind the restaurant around 7:30 p.m.
The victim reportedly yelled at him twice to leave. The second time, he ran away into a wooded area.
Officers were unable to find him.
“That’s just super creepy,” said Railgarten customer Dylan Kan. “It’s a very busy place, and I feel like all sorts of people go there from families or people just going there to grab a beer.”
Residents around Midtown have been reporting a serial flasher for months, but police have been unable to charge him.
Police said it is not known if this incident was related to the previous reports.
“There are plenty of places around here that all have security cameras. I feel like this guy shouldn’t be that hard to find,” said Kan.
WREG left messages on Railgarten’s Facbeook and phone, but have yet to hear back. Its website stated it’s closed Mondays.
