You may think of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band when you hear the name “Little Stevie” Van Zandt. He is a founding member of that world-renowned band, but he’s also a big-time solo musician, songwriter, arranger, composer, actor, director, member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the host to this year’s Blues Music Awards.
He performs Tuesday night at Minglewood with his band “The Disciples of Soul.”
Graceland vs the City
Shelby County Commissioners will discuss Graceland’s request for tax incentives to expand the Whitehaven tourist attraction. Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland has come out against the idea suggesting Graceland’s developers want to divert taxpayer money to expand their profits.
Now it’s the County Commission’s turn to discuss it. Commissioners Heidi Shafer and Justin Ford join us.
