MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police on Wednesday investigated a suspicious package that was left on the corner at Central and Cooper.

Traffic was blocked off on Central, but the road was back open and police had moved off by 4:20.

Bomb Unit officers checked the package, which was left behind a chain-link fence in a parking lot on the northwest corner.

The nearby Railgarten restaurant closed early because of the threat, but owners said they will likely open back up later this evening.
