The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has canceled an Amber Alert for five-year-old Baylee Elizabeth Emison.
The agency said the little girl was located early Thursday morning and the woman who allegedly took her – Martha Ann Poss- was taken into custody. The news comes several hours after Baylee was reportedly taken Poss in Clay County.
State officials said overnight that the pair were last seen heading eastbound on Highway 50 and may have been heading to the Pheba community. Authorities did not say if that’s where they located them.
The circumstances surrounding the girl’s disappearance was not released.
