(Memphis) The Mississippi River is moving along.
The water levels approaching historic lows in the Mid-South are expected to rise during the next few weeks due to increased precipitation in the Northeast.
All of the rainfall across the U.S. is helping the river rise.
Over the next few days, the river could rise as much as three feet.
The worst drought in decades is the cause of the low water levels.
