(Memphis) A Memphis police officer who shot and killed a 15-year-old is back at work.
News Channel 3 learned officer Terrance Shaw is working again.
Shaw was off-duty when he killed Justin Thompson at the intersection of Jenkins and Woodall in Hickory Hill last September.
Shaw claims Thompson was trying to rob him.
The teen’s family doesn’t believe it.
This is the fourth shooting in which Shaw was involved.
His internal affairs record shows he shot at a man after a traffic stop in 2009.
That man later died.
A year earlier, he shot two pit bulls, and in 2010 he shot and killed another dog.
Shaw had been on paid leave…
There’s still no word from the district attorney’s office if Shaw will face any charges for killing Thompson.
He’s on desk duty right now.
