The Shelby County district attorney’s office says no one was injured when Corey Woods fired a handgun from a car into a parking lot near the Beale Street tourist area shortly before midnight on April 16, 2017.

Prosecutors say the shooting broke out during an argument. Authorities say Woods and his brother were identified as the men who fired the shots, which shattered two windows in a woman’s car. The shooting was caught on cellphone video.

Prosecutors said Monday that Woods has pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. A judge sentenced Woods to two years in prison. Woods is from Hernando, Mississippi.

Charges are pending against Woods’ brother.
