MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man died Saturday after being stabbed in Raleigh and his accused killer was charged with murder.
The man was stabbed near 3540 Covington Pike, then went to the Sonic Drive-In at that location to call for help. He was pronounced dead when officers arrived.
Homicide investigators announced Sunday that 21-year-old Markell Austin was charged with first-degree murder.
They said Austin surrendered to police shortly after the incident and said he stabbed the victim after asking for a cigarette.
