MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person was taken to the hospital after a shooting at Burger King in the 2800 block of Hickory Hill Road Sunday afternoon, Memphis Police said.

Officers responded to the scene at 3:36 p.m. A female victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound. Police say she ran to a nearby parking lot after she was shot.

Another woman has been detained, but she hasn’t been charged.

People who live and work nearby say they feel unnerved.

“It’s scary for us to come outside. It’s scary for us to interact with people. You don’t know who they are or what they are,” neighbor Mac Ghassemi said.
