MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An 18-year-old is behind bars after a shooting in Hickory Hill on Saturday left a man injured.

Delano Aldridge is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, possible firearm-dangerous felony, vandalism and reckless endangerment.

According to a report, the victims were driving south on Kirby Road when they noticed Aldridge and another male. The suspects began shooting at the victim’s vehicle, causing one man to be injured. He was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.

Aldridge was taken into custody, as well as two other people who were hiding in a backyard.

The family living in that home told us their sons were home during the chaos.

“He told me he heard eight to nine shots, and I asked him where was he. He told me he was hiding. My concern was where was, ‘Where was he? Where was his big brother?’ I was scared,” the mother said.

Thankfully they weren’t hit.

“Had my husband and I been here, it would’ve been just a regular Saturday where I would’ve been in my kitchen, my husband in the bedroom,” the mother said.

She says she’s at peace knowing the parties involved have been arrested.
