(La Mesa, CA) Police in California have arrested a man accused of raping a woman he met on the Christian Mingle website.
37-year-old Sean Banks is charged with two counts of sexual assault. He is out of jail on $500,000 bond.
Police say the attack happened after the victim invited Banks to her home.
Investigators say there may be other victims because Banks used several different aliases. He went by the names “RARITY”, “Rylan Butterwood” and “Rylan Harbough”.
Police are now trying to determine if he used other dating websites.
Banks faces 36 years in prison if convicted. He’ll be back in court on March 1st.
The Christian Mingle website says it has experts who manually review questionable profiles on its site.
