MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police said two people were shot in Binghampton on Thursday evening, and one ended up dead.

Police responded to the scene on Pershing Avenue near North Bingham Street around 7 p.m.

Both shooting victims were taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition. Police later said one of the shooting victims, a man, died at the hospital.

Detectives say it’s likely this was a targeted attack, as it’s believed the victims knew the person who pulled the trigger.

Memphis Police say the suspect was possibly driving a dark-colored Infiniti.
