(Memphis) A breast cancer diagnosis is devastating.
Now according to researchers, nearly 25% of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients experience some symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder including anxiety and difficulty sleeping.
Researchers in New York found one in four women met the criteria for P-T-S-D during the first few months after diagnosis.
Younger women and African American and Asian women were most likely to develop the disorder.
