(Memphis) Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam says he’s getting closer to a decision on a possible statewide expansion of Medicaid and hopes to make a recommendation by the end of the month.
Haslam is looking into the cost to the state, the health impacts on the people who are going to be covered and the financial impacts on the hospitals.
The expansion could add as many as 145,000 Tennesseans to the Tenncare program.
