(Alcorn County, MS) Corinth Police arrested Herman Lee Shook, 37, on three counts of aggravated assault Monday after he allegedly fired a gun in the parking lot of a movie theater.

According to police, Shook followed his ex-wife to the theater to try and talk about their separation Saturday night when the couple started to argue.

The couple’s child was in the vehicle but was told to stay inside. Shortly after that Shook’s estranged wife said he fired one shot that struck the vehicle.

Neither the woman nor the child was hurt. Shook remains behind bars.
