(Washington, D.C.) More and more American workers say they’re concerned about their retirement savings and it is a real crisis for many.

One survey shows 28% of Americans are not confident about their retirement savings, the highest that number has been in 23 years.

Surprisingly, a majority reported their savings and investments are less than $25,000 with  many having less than $1,000 available.

Experts say part of the problem is many Americans are too worried about the short-term to look so far ahead.
