Joshua Vinson joined the WREG News Channel 3 team as a Digital Content Producer/Reporter in August 2020. He graduated in May 2019 from the University of Memphis, where he studied journalism.
Joshua previously worked as the morning reporter at WHBF-TV covering news across the Western Illinois and Eastern Iowa in the Quad Cities area. He covered a variety events from local news to NBA All-Star 2020 Weekend in his hometown of Chicago, as well as the Chicago Bears training camp. He loves sports and has a high interest in meteorology as well. In fact, his goal is to attend Mississippi State online to obtain is broadcast meteorology degree.
Additionally, Joshua had an apprenticeship covering the Washington Wizards and Carolina Panthers over the last three seasons. Additionally, he has covered the NBA over the last six seasons interviewing some of the biggest names in both leagues such as Dak Prescott, Cam Newton, Derrick Rose and John Wall.
When Joshua isn’t working hard in the newsroom, he is enjoying his downtime listening to some of his favorite music: Kane Brown, J. Cole, and Drake.
