(Memphis) Memphis City School leaders showed their appreciation to those who make their Adopt-A-School program possible.
The district held it’s annual luncheon Wednesday on the campus of the University of Memphis. MCS thanked more than 600 groups and organizations for their support throughout the school year.
Miska Bibbs, who is the Coordinator of Community Partnerships and Volunteer Services for MCS, says program partners play an important and irreplaceable role for the schools they adopt.
“Without there additional help some of the schools would have to rely on other people, so we want to make sure they are relying on their community partners,” said Bibbs.
News Channel 3 is one of the proud community partners involved in the program and received an award for 30 years of service at Winchester Elementary School.
