(Memphis) Two Memphis police officers have been fired.

Officers Parker Culver and Marc Henderson were terminated for “personal conduct and violating regulation.”

Both officers are assigned to the Ridgeway Station where they allegedly threatened to take over the weapons room.

The Memphis Police Association has stood by the officers.

Statement from MPD:

On February 6, 2013, MPD relieved Officers Marc Henderson and Officer Parker Culver after it was reported that the two officers made inappropriate comments to fellow officers that were considered to be threatening in nature.

Additionally, these two officers made comments regarding work stoppage and inappropriate use of police equipment.

Given the nature of the statements, these officers were immediately relieved of duty pending the outcome of the administrative investigation.

Administrative hearings were held for both officers after being departmentally charged with Truthfulness, Aid Another to Violate Regulation, Personal Conduct; and Strike, Demonstration, or Slowdown.
