(CNN) Ben and Jerry’s is joining the movement to remove genetically modified ingredients (GMO) from its products.

The company says 80 percent of the ingredients it uses in the United States and Canada are non-GMOs.

All of the company’s products made in Europe are already non-GMO.

The company’s goal is to have all GMO ingredients out of its U.S. products by the end of 2014.

In the meantime, products that contain GMOs will be labeled so consumers will know what they are eating.
