(Memphis) Thirteen City of Memphis pools are set to open Saturday, June 8th. And there are changes to the access cards needed to use the pool.

Instead of getting the access cards from community centers, this year you can get the cards from city libraries.

“The reason we made the connection with the library this year is my only for efficiency purposes, but also it enables the youngsters to have an opportunity to visit libraries as well,” said Joseph Lee with the City of Memphis.

The cards will be different colors for those under the age of 17, to make it clear that there are different rules for every age.

“Up to age 13, they will have a city access card and those youngsters will require parents accompanying the youth,” said Lee.
