MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Tennessee authorities have captured the man they say shot and killed a four-year-old boy over the weekend.

Terrell Woods was apprehended by officers with the Memphis Police Department, the U.S. Marshals and the Shelby County Fugitive Apprehension Team on Tuesday.

Woods had been on the run since Saturday when investigators said there was some sort of dispute between Woods and a man who was inside a car. The suspect allegedly fired a shot and struck the child.

The argument happened originally in North Memphis in the 1000 block of Lexington Circle.

MPD said Woods would be charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
