UPDATE:

Memphis Police say they have made an arrest stemming from a car crash late Saturday night in Downtown Memphis.

According to the affidavit, officers saw a black Dodge Charger traveling eastbound on Peabody Place crossing South Main Street on the wrong side of the road. Additionally, officers saw the car burning rubber and attempted to make a traffic stop.

Memphis Police said that is when the car started to travel at high rate of speed and the driver lost control and hit a building in the 100 block of Peabody Place. Officers said that is when Jackie Netterville, the driver, exited the car fled on foot going north on Second Street.

Netterville was eventually apprehended by officers and taken into custody. Officers searched the car and found marijuana and two handguns. Additionally, there were four other passengers in the car.

Netterville is charged with reckless driving and evading arrest among other gun and drug related charges.

Netterville is out on bond.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are investigating a car accident where a vehicle crashed into a building in Downtown Memphis.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Second and Peabody.

At this time, it is unknown if there are any injuries or what caused the crash.
