(Oxford, MS) A federal judge postponed a sentencing hearing Thursday for a former Oxford Police Officer charged with doctor shopping.
A judge planned to sentence ex-narcotics agent Searn Lynch this week, but a scheduling conflict pushed the hearing back until September 16.
According to court papers, Lynch received prescriptions for pain medications from at least 17 doctors.
The former narcotics agent pleaded guilty to one count of obtaining prescription drugs by deception in April.
