(Memphis) Friends, family members and fans remember the life of Lorenzen Wright, nearly three years after his murder.

A vigil for the Memphis basketball star was held outside the FedExForum Saturday night. Wright was found shot to death in 2010, but his killer has never been arrested.

Wright’s mother says the vigil helps her keep hope alive; that someone will come forward with information on the case.

“It’s getting easier, but he’s still not here,” said Deborah Marion, Wright’s mother. “I’m going to do this every year so maybe somebody will see it and say I gotta tell my story. I gotta tell it.”

Wright was a University of Memphis Basketball stand-out before going on to play for the Clippers, the Grizzlies and the Atlanta Hawks.
