82-year-old Mabel Pettis disappeared on Friday afternoon in Oxford.
She suffers from the early stages of dementia.
Late Saturday afternoon, her car was found in a ditch in Oxford.
Someone saw the story about Pettis on the news and called police when she spotted the car.
Pettis was not hurt in the accident, but she was taken to the hospital for observation.
