MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Braylen Clark, the 7-month-old baby boy at the center of an AMBER Alert, has been found safe, Memphis Police said Tuesday around noon. His biological father, Barry Medlock is still at large.

A police spokesman said someone dropped off Braylen at the Crump Police precinct, but police did not say who dropped the baby off.

Police said the baby’s mother was dropped off at the Regional One Medical Center with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead Sunday. She was identified by MPD as Marika Clark, 23.

The TBI issued a statewide AMBER Alert for the child after he was reported missing.

MPD also issued a warrant for second-degree murder for Medlock.

According to court records, Medlock was arrested in 2019 for domestic violence after he allegedly got angry when a woman tried to discipline his son. That case was disposed. It appears the baby involved in the AMBER Alert is too young to be the same child.

If you see Medlock, call 911, 901-528-CASH or 1-800-TBI-FIND.

A GoFundMe account has been set up by the family of Marika Clark. According to the post, Clark also has a 3-year-old daughter. You can donate here.
