MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A child was reportedly killed in an accidental shooting on Boxtown Road Friday night.
Police say the shooting happened on Boxtown Road near Valley Road just after 9 p.m.
The age of the child is not known at this time, but the Memphis Police Department says the victim was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition.
She later died of her injuries .
Memphis Police say preliminary information indicates that the shooting was accidental. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
