
Kontji Anthony is the dynamic host of WREG’s Live at 9 lifestyle show that celebrates the best of the greater Memphis region, from food and arts to community, wellness and family. Her maternal family hails from Lorman, Mississippi where her grandfather was a pastor and farmer.
With a 30-year TV broadcasting career, Kontji is a certified community builder, Google Community Guide and was honored by the Tennessee Legislature for her TV broadcasting career. She’s held almost every position in a local newsroom, from photojournalist and producer to evening anchor. Kontji’s TV career began at WCBS in New York City and continued at various stations across America, including KTVO-TV, WNCT-TV, KBAK-TV and Good Day Sacramento.
Kontji is also a tech founder of the Youdle platform, which connects shoppers with in-stock groceries. The Howard University School of Communications graduate is actively involved with the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis and New Memphis Board of Trustees. She’s also a Digital Undivided fellow, and holds memberships with ACT: The App Association and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
