Meteorologist
I’m from Chicago so I’m a city guy at heart. I went to the University of Illinois where I studied atmospheric science and environmental science. Before this I was a met at our sister station WNCT-TV in Greenville NC for two years, where I got to cover multiple tropical storms. I’m thrilled to be back in a severe weather market to cover my true passion, which is severe weather. I’m a big storm chaser and have seen 4 tornadoes. Storm chasing also gained me 100,000 tik tok followers (@maxclaypool).
For my other hobbies I like fishing (but apparently not catching) and playing golf (poorly).
