Mike Suriani

Hello, I’m Mike Suriani, a native Memphian who began working at WREG in March 1984 as a news videographer following employment at WMC from 1973-1984.

I was promoted to Special Projects Producer in the early 90’s and responsible for producing long format specials under our “Kids Count” banner as well as other 30 minute and 60 minute specials, multi-part series and “day of” stories. I have been nominated six times for a regional Emmy and have had the honor of winning two.

My role now is reporter and multi-media journalist.

In my role I travel throughout our viewing area and bring back stories for one of the day’s newscasts.

Those travels take me to outlying communities in Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and even the Missouri “bootheel.”

I’m proud of the work I produce and find a great deal of satisfaction in writing and producing stories that are visual and balanced and provide important information to our audience.

I encourage you to send me your story ideas.

I share those stories daily on-air, on WREG.com and on my WREG Facebook page
