Quametra Wilborn joined the WREG News Channel 3 team as a Multimedia Journalist August of 2019.
Quametra is a Millington-native and THRILLED to be back in her hometown reporting for the #1 rated news station.
Her passion for storytelling began when she was 16 reporting for her high school’s news station, Trojan TV. From there, she went to Middle Tennessee State University (Go True Blue!) where she graduated with a major in Multimedia Journalism and a minor in Sociology. While in college, she reported and anchored for MT10 News and won her first Associated Press Award for TV Investigative/In-depth Reporting. She also interned at another Memphis station during her time in school.
Quametra got her first “big girl” job on-air in Hattiesburg, MS at WDAM where she was a reporter/anchor.
She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. When she isn’t chasing down a story, you can find her checking out new restaurants in town.
