380 Beale Owner Clears Out Building Before Demolition

(Memphis) On Friday, moving crews were busy clearing out the building formerly known as Club Crave before it’s demolished .

Minda Griffin is the fiance of the building’s owner, George Miller. She watched as crews moved out tables, chairs, and kitchen equipment from the building at 380 Beale St.  The demolition is part of a deal struck between Miller and the District Attorney’s Office.

Griffin told News Channel 3 Miller is happy to comply with the District Attorney’s orders and he just wants to get the whole ordeal behind him.

“Mr. Miller is old now and he doesn’t want to see anything happen to anyone ever again here,” Griffin said.

Club Crave and 380 Beale were declared a public nuisance and were shut down permanently after a triple shooting in December 2012.

Griffin said she expects demolition on the building to begin in the next two or three months.
