HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Police are now saying a Huntsville real estate agent reported missing nearly two months ago was abducted and five people are wanted, marking a “significant shift” in the case from early reports it did not appear he was in any danger.
Ronald Leslie Dumas Jr., 37, was last seen on December 15, 2024. A missing persons report was filed on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) said it obtained “critical new evidence” indicating that Dumas was abducted.
They issued warrants for five people, four of whom are from Memphis.
According to HPD, Dumas was last seen on security camera footage entering a liquor store on University Drive accompanied by two women shortly before 10:30 p.m. He was later seen leaving the store with them and police originally said he did not appear to be under any distress.
“Through the investigation, HPD received information that led to the identification of the women and traced them to their apartment. Further investigation confirmed their connection to Dumas and revealed additional evidence of his abduction. As the case progressed, HPD determined multiple individuals were involved in the incident.”

Police say as a result of the investigation, arrest warrants were issued for five people.
- Quintarius Shikelion White, 32, of Memphis, TN is wanted for first-degree kidnapping.
- Toure Laron McLaurin, 33, of Memphis, TN is wanted for first-degree kidnapping.
- Sabrina Rochelle Chambers, 27, of Huntsville, AL is wanted for first-degree kidnapping.
- Kierra Symone Clark, 27, of Memphis, TN is wanted for conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
- Carissa Cash, 33, of Memphis, TN is wanted for first-degree receiving stolen property.

HPD said it is working alongside the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force to find and arrest these people, and urge anyone who recognizes or encounters these people to report them to local law enforcement.
His family said they would be available at 3 p.m. to “share their response, concerns, and next steps.” They also said they expect to be able to answer questions unrelated to the criminal investigation.
The police department also said that with assistance from the FBI, a credible lead identified a 450-acre area south of Memphis, TN, extending into northern Mississippi, as a potential location for Dumas.
After receiving this information, HPD said a search was conducted on Thursday, Feb. 6, by 20 investigators, “including crime scene personnel and drone operators, from HPD, the Memphis Police Department, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office and Southeastern Search Dogs to gather evidence and potentially locate Dumas.”
Dumas’ car was found on the side of I-40 in Camden, Tennessee on Dec. 16. Tennessee Highway Patrol was dispatched to a call about an abandoned vehicle around 6:30 that morning and found the vehicle near mile marker 133 close to Camden, Tenn. about 9 minutes later.
It was impounded that same day. Two days after the vehicle was impounded, THP discovered it belonged to Dumas, and dispatched multiple state troopers to the mile marker where the vehicle was to search for him on foot.
On Dec. 19, HPD said they sent requests for the location history of Dumas’s cell phone to his cell service providers. Cell service location history revealed Dumas’s cell phone was traveling west on I-40 past mile marker 133 and toward Jackson around 6:08 a.m., where his phone history showed he was less than an hour later.
“We have reason to believe that he made it to Jackson, Tennessee. His phone location history shows that on Dec. 16th, just after 7 a.m., his phone was on I-40 just outside of Jackson, TN,” HPD told News 19 on Dec. 24.
Dumas was placed on the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Missing Persons List as a missing adult on Dec. 23.
Police later shared that the most recent phone information indicated Dumas’ phone was tracked heading south from Memphis, Tennessee on Dec. 21.
