DESOTO COUNTY, Miss. — The man accused of shooting four people in Desoto County has been identified by police.

Keatron Walls is facing four counts of aggravated assault and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Walls reportedly turned himself in to authorities.

The four men were shot inside a home near Craft and Vaiden.

“He’s a mad gunman. He won’t leave her alone. But he’s trying to kill her.”

Cathy Odom said her daughter broke up with the shooter a couple months ago. She said she was standing in the living room around 7 when “he started shooting through the windows.”

Her daughter and the rest of the family tried to take cover, dropping to the ground.

“He missed her, by the grace of God.”

Instead, Odom said he shot three family members in the legs and one in the stomach They are in the hospital and expected to be okay.

Law enforcement combed the area for the shooter, while other deputies stood guard in bullet proof vests, strapped with guns.

“This is rare for this area.”

Odom said her daughter is shaken up. This isn’t the first time her ex tried to harm her. She claimed he recently shot up her van

“I never looked at him as being somebody that would do this.”
