MEMPHIS, Tenn. — According to a new preseason media poll released by the American Athletic Conference the Memphis Tigers are the ones to beat.
For the second time in three years, the football team garnered 22 first-place votes and was named the favorite to win the West Division and play for the league championship.
But when it comes to who is going to hoist the championship trophy at the end of the year, there was a clear favorite.
The USF Bulls received 26 points out of a possible 30 and were named the overall pick.
Houston came in second with two points while Memphis and Navy only had one.
The championship is scheduled for Saturday, December 2.
