MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The American Advertising Federation awarded it’s annual Silver Medal Award to a local Memphian.

Russ Williams, the CEO of Archer Malmo, received the prestigious award during a reception January 21 at the Westin Hotel.

According to the AAF, the Silver Medal Award goes to “an exceptional industry leader for a career of outstanding accomplishment and advertising contribution,” and is the highest form of recognition bestowed by the organization.

“He is completely committed to developing and fostering talent and contributing to moving Memphis forward as an attractive workplace for talented creatives,” the AAF wrote.  “While his professional and civic accomplishments are numerous, his compassion, vision, investment and belief in his team are what make him a standout leader.”

Williams joined Archer Malmo, the largest independent advertising agency in the South, back in 2000.

Ever since, the company has increased revenue by 180% and more than doubled its employees size.

It was voted as one of the industry’s top places to work in 2011, 2014, and 2015.

Archer Malmo was even listed among the fastest growing companies in the United States for the past three years.
