MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are searching for suspects they say are responsible for stealing cars from D&P Auto Sales.
On Saturday, Dec. 1, officers were called to the business in the 3900 block of Jackson Avenue where the owner told police several car keys were stolen.
Three days later, the owner showed up at work to find a 2013 Nissan and 2004 BMW had been stolen. The keys to those two vehicles had been taken during the previous break in.
Police say one of the suspects crashed the BMW in the front yard of someone’s home a day after stealing the car. That home is located at Longfellow and Addison. The aftermath of the incident was caught on video. You can clearly see the suspect.
We talked with a man who lives next door. His parents live in the house in question. He says his mom was nearly killed because she was sitting on the front porch when the crash happened.
“She was pretty scared,” he says, “Shaken up still.”
If you recognize the guy in this video, call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
