(Tipton County) A man is behind bars accused of raping a child in Tipton County.
Deputies originally went to Michael Rhodes home to make sure he had registered as a sex offender.
He was on probation for a previous child sex abuse conviction from Connecticut.
Deputies say he refused to open the door.
They say they negotiated with him and found children`s clothing inside.
Detectives say they had received a complaint of an alleged rape of a 5-year-old, naming Rhodes as the suspect.
Rhodes admitted to babysitting the child.
