JACKSONVILLE, Ark. — An Amber Alert was cancelled Monday for a missing three-year-old from Arkansas after she was found safe, and police later arrested her father.
According to authorities, Jal’ah Ware was inside a home in Jacksonville, Arkansas early Monday morning when Jal’on Ware broke in during an aggravated residential burglary. He allegedly shot another man inside the home, assaulted him and then took off with the child.
Arkansas Department of Transportation reported at 2 p.m. Monday that the little girl was found safe. By 3:30, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s office tweeted that Jal’on Ware had been arrested.
Jal’on Ware is the child’s biological father, but authorities said he was considered armed and dangerous.
Jacksonville is just northeast of Little Rock.
