CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ark. — A Level II Amber Alert for another girl has been cancelled.
The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department and Arkansas State Police were looking for 12-year-old Jamiria Murray.
She was found safe in Memphis.
She had been last seen around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Alternative School in Crittenden County.
Her parents told the sheriff’s department she did not take the bus home, as she usually does.
At the time, she was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and flat black shoes.
Her parents told authorities she has a history of running away, but Chief Zane Boyd with the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department said he is concerned because she is young and was seen getting into a black car.
The Level II designation of the Amber Alert means the case has not been determined to be as much of an immediate threat as a Level I alert. Factors in making that determination include the child’s age, the likelihood they’re in immediate danger, family issues such as a custodial dispute and evidence of an abduction.
