LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Arkansas Department of Health will be hosting an all-day flu vaccine event to get ready for the upcoming flu season.
THV11 reported each county health unit will be hosting a clinic on different dates throughout the next few weeks.
If you are planning to get your flu shot at one of the locations, you will have to bring your insurance card to the clinic.
If you do not have insurance or your insurance doesn’t cover the cost of the vaccine, the shot will be provided to you free of charge.
According to the Arkansas Department of Health, each year 25-50 million people get the flu in the United States, with more than 200,000 people being hospitalized.
