MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An armed man was arrested after allegedly threatening employees at Campbell Clinic in Germantown, city officials said.
According to the city, officers were called to the clinic around 10:40 a.m. Thursday after a man identified by officials as Cordarius Bush, 24, walked into the entryway and threatened the staff. Employees said he was armed with a long gun. One of the staff members is Bush’s mother but investigators haven’t said if they know why Bush was so upset.
No shots were fired and no one was injured. Bush eventually left the clinic.
Memphis Police helped find and arrest Bush at his Southwest Memphis home on Archer Cove around noon.
Neighbors say Bush lives with his grandparents and doesn’t cause any trouble. One of those neighbors, Ruby Jefferson, has known him for years. She’s shocked by the accusations.
“He’s a nice young man, don’t bother nobody or nothing like that. He even come over and help me do things. I’ve been knowing him ever since he was a baby,” she said, “Something had to happen to hurt him or something because he’s in college and everything.”
Bush was booked into the Germantown jail on charges of aggravated assault and domestic assault. Based on Shelby County records, he has no criminal history.
