(Memphis) An Assistant Attorney for Shelby County is off the job.
Mark Allen, the Director of Litigation in the County Attorney’s office has resigned.
The move comes after another employee filed a complaint after being asked to work for Allen’s private law firm on county time.
Allen resigned after an ethics review was conducted.
He was appointed to the position of Director of Litigation in January 2011.
He is not accused of breaking any laws.
