MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The renovations at AutoZone Park are getting some well-deserved recognition.
Ballpark Digest recently named it as 2015’s Best Ballpark Renovation over $6 million.
The renovations came after the St. Louis Cardinals took over the franchise prior to the season and committed to enhancing the fan experience.
The new owners added a new state-of-the-art LED video board, LED ribbon boards, a right-field BBQ food area, a left field bar, addition seating, and AutoZones Park’s first all-inclusive club.
“AutoZone Park has always been one of the leading venues in Minor League Baseball, but there’s no doubt it had become a dated facility,” said Kevin Reichard, Ballpark Digest publisher. “With the St. Louis Cardinals coming on board as owners, it was clearly important to Cards team leaders and the Redbirds front office that the fan experience be significantly enhanced.”
