(Fort Lauderdale, FL) The Coast Guard has ended its search for a Bartlett, TN woman missing from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

It’s believed the woman fell over the side of the ship.

The name of the 21-year-old woman has not been released but we know she was aboard the Allure of the Seas and was least seen Sunday night.

The ship was headed to Nassau, Bahamas.

More than 2,300 square miles were searched by multiple Coast Guard search and rescue crews over a 46-hour period.

According to the Coast Guard, “The ship made multiple public announcements and began a complete search of the ship, in efforts to locate the guest.  A review of the ship’s closed-circuit camera footage observed a 21-year-old female guest from the United States going overboard.  The location of the ship at the time the guest went overboard was marked on the ship’s Global Positioning System (GPS).  Two other ships that were close by at the time, the Carnival Fascination and Majesty of the Seas, assisted Allure of the Seas with the search.”

The search was conducted nearly 50 miles east of Fort Lauderdale.
