MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid has had 1 million visitors between April 29 and July 8. More than 35,000 people showed up for the store’s opening night. The company projects more than two million people a year could walk through the doors. “From the outset we envisioned Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid as a ‘must-see’ destination and the enthusiastic response confirms our customers agree,” General Manager David Hagel said in a news release. “We are grateful to all our visitors from the Memphis community, the Mid-South region, across the country and around the world.” A restaurant at the top, which had been originally scheduled to open in June, is now scheduled to open soon. Bass Pro said the opening was delayed to allow as many people as possible to visit the observation deck without bothering diners. Upcoming events include a Fall Festival  and Santa’s Wonderland for Christmas.
