The Christmas holiday was good news when it comes to the box office.
It was the second highest-grossing Christmas Day on record in the U.S.
According to estimates, the box office haul was estimated at between $76 and $78 million.
That tops last year’s $75 million.
“The Hobbit” was the top grossing Christmas Day film, bringing in more than $9 million.
