(Memphis) Bill Giannini, an assistant commissioner for the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, will not face charges in a fatal crash in which he was involved.
Giannini was in a car crash last December in which an 8-year-old boy was killed.
District Attorney General Amy Weirich released this statement, “This office has reviewed the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s investigation of the traffic accident that resulted in the death of young Quindarious McGhay. There is insufficient evidence to criminally charge anyone at this time in this tragic situation.”
Giannini was driving on I-40 December 21 when he came over a hill near the Fayette County line.
Giannini’s vehicle hit the back of a car, which was among many stopped for a crash down the road.
Gianinni’s car hit that vehicle which then hit a pickup truck.
