(Memphis) Remington College teamed up with Lifeblood for a campaign designed to rally more minorities to give blood.
The 3 Lives campaign was held at Remington’s campus on Nonconnah Boulevard from 5p.m. until 8p.m. Tuesday.
Organizers told News Channel 3 there is a very high demand for more African-American donors because of unique antibodies that help fight life-threatening diseases, such as sickle cell.
The goal of the campaign is to collect 10,000 pints of blood in 2013.
